

Emotional Connection
I'm a fan of photos that showcase personality. While this image of my cousin and her now husband is posed, their big smiles give extra depth. It comes across as authentic. That is my goal. I appreciate photos that show genuine emotion. It's easy to present images with the perfect composition and framing, but if it doesn't have that certain mood, then I'd take a poorly photographed image over that any day, so long as I can get the emotional connection. Chilly weather, warm hearts
A few weeks ago, my cousin officially went off the market with a beautiful vineyard wedding in sunny California. Alas, I got a group picture with him, but not a single with the bride! Hello, Bright Eyes
My nephew, Andrew, has a whole lot of personality. Currently, he's interested in Minecraft and this game called, "Zombies vs Plants." EA knows how to build a following with the young ones. Anyway, one thing to keep in mind when working with kids, work fast. They can barely sit still for dinner, so it's not so different when trying to get different looks for headshots.
